"Flame Dragon: Coil."

A fire dragon slammed into Shadow Mu Yang's chest. During the previous beating, Shadow Mu Yang had taken quite a few hits from these skills. At first, they were extremely effective, but now, this Flame Dragon: Coil merely charred his chest, causing no real harm.

"Collapse!"

Shadow Mu Yang fired again with Bribery, targeting the Mage from the Paradise who had just attacked him. Unlike Shadow Mu Yang's sturdy body, the Mage’s chest was pierced clean through by the bullet.

"Life Lock: Form Lock."

A martial artist used a skill—perhaps their own, perhaps from Paradise—to simultaneously bind Shadow Mu Yang’s four limbs. The restraint didn’t last long; after about seven seconds, Shadow Mu Yang broke free from Life Lock: Form Lock.

As he escaped, he bit down hard on the martial artist's arm, venom seeping in from the wound. As it began to spread throughout the man's body, the martial artist hurriedly retreated from the battlefield, finding refuge in the ruins far from Shadow Mu Yang to recuperate.

Shadow Mu Yang was about to charge forward, but the three remaining tanks barred his way yet again. These three tanks had already blocked countless of his attacks. Every assault was intercepted, and though he'd managed to injure them at times, a dozen healers were on standby, instantly restoring the tanks to their pre-battle state. If not for the multitude of scratches on their armor, one might think these tanks had never been harmed at all.

Despite his formidable regenerative abilities and vitality, the relentless fighting wore on Shadow Mu Yang’s spirit. Moreover, Paradise traversers outside the Empire were gradually arriving, leaving little time for him to wear down this group before reinforcements came.

If he couldn’t eliminate all the Paradise traversers in front of him quickly, he would have to retreat.

Taking a deep breath, Shadow Mu Yang charged straight at the three tanks. Justice and Bribery flared simultaneously, injuring the tanks. As the healers prepared to cast their restorative skills—

"Insensate."

Shadow Mu Yang unleashed his second soul skill. The healers' abilities either missed entirely or landed on the wrong targets.

More than ten skills were wasted, with only one actually healing a tank; all the others missed.

Seizing this momentary lapse, Shadow Mu Yang unleashed the full force of Justice and Bribery, attacking the three tanks. One tank’s shield, its durability exhausted, broke apart. This shield had been acquired when he first entered Paradise; its poor attributes had led him to replace it. Now, it absorbed one final blow for its owner before shattering.

Seeing his strike fail, Shadow Mu Yang used the tank’s body as leverage and leapt into the midst of the healers, biting one. The healer endured longer than the Mage, but ultimately could not escape death.

By the time the tanks rushed over in desperation, it was too late—Shadow Mu Yang had already used those fleeting seconds to kill six healers.

After this killing spree, the situation shifted once more.

With only seven healers left, the tanks could barely hold on, and even then, just barely; their wounds grew ever more severe…
