"I would like a secret chamber where no one can observe me, and it must be sturdy enough—preferably underground. Although the Sea God Pavilion is rich in light elements and soul power, those rooms cannot prevent certain mishaps during cultivation. That’s why I wish for a secret chamber," Muyang said.

Elder Gong was taken aback. He had expected Muyang to ask for some rare treasures or miraculous herbs, but instead, it was merely a secret chamber. Without even pausing to consider, Elder Gong agreed.

In truth, Muyang had no need for rare treasures. The eighty-one spheres of light within his qi sea already accelerated his soul power cultivation to the utmost. Besides, adding any miraculous herbs would only have adverse effects. Xuedi, too, had no lack of heavenly materials and earth treasures. When she left, she took all her collected treasures with her; all she lacked was a hidden place to cultivate.

Just a single Octagonal Mysterious Ice Crystal would be enough to help Xuedi reach the rank of Soul Sage. The remaining materials, though individually inferior to the Ice Crystal, made up for it in quantity. However, absorbing them would release a tremendous chill, sure to alert those in the Sea God Pavilion. Thus, Muyang requested a secret chamber.

"By the way, I’m taking Little Black with me," Muyang told Elder Gong.

At those words, Elder Gong looked troubled. Though the Dark Night Cat Demon was not particularly difficult to capture, it was still a ten-thousand-year soul beast. To have Muyang take it away so directly made Elder Gong reluctant to part with it.

Seeing Elder Gong’s conflicted expression, Muyang turned away without another word. His earlier statement had been more of an announcement than a request—did Elder Gong really imagine Muyang would follow his wishes?

Elder Gong then turned to Huo Yuhao, his expression stern. "You must never tell anyone that Muyang is still alive or reveal his martial soul. Otherwise, it would not only harm Shrek’s reputation but also cause Muyang to be branded an evil soul master. As compensation, I will give you a Soul Ascension Pill."

With that, Elder Gong fished a box from his spatial ring and tossed it to Huo Yuhao.

Meanwhile, Muyang informed Xuedi that the secret chamber was ready for cultivation; everything was proceeding in an orderly fashion.

Until the day came when Muyang was selected as a core member for the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Soul Dueling Tournament. On that very day, he received a summons from another world.

"Summons from another world received. Do you accept?"

"Accept" "Decline"

"Note: The time ratio between this world and the other is 1000:1. There are no humans in the other world."

Muyang pondered for a moment, then accepted. With the time ratio being a thousand to one, there was no need to worry that he would miss the tournament upon his return. If he could strengthen himself in that world, so much the better.

He only remembered darkness sweeping over his vision, and when sight returned, he found himself standing atop an altar, surrounded by the corpses of what appeared to be beastmen, with a group of humanoid creatures encircling the altar.

"It seems we’ve summoned an ancient human. I wonder how powerful he is," remarked a handsome male creature.

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a formless blade of sword energy sliced Muyang in two at the waist.

Yet it was only a temporary division. Within five seconds, Muyang’s severed torso had seamlessly fused together again. That invisible blade had set him free—he was just about to unleash his poisonous mist when a system prompt appeared.

"Because the host has entered another world, original-world abilities are temporarily unavailable..."
