Chapter 124: Exploration Progress
Shino Muyang rubbed her glasses and looked at her creation with a sense of satisfaction. Yet, she harbored a thought: if she could replace Yang Feng’s heart with another form of energy that could power the mech on a large scale, would it be possible to deploy such mechs widely? The catch, however, was that she would need to speed up production. At the current rate of one mech per month, the timeline was far too long.
But in this world of battles, such concerns were almost irrelevant. This mech, in terms of sheer destructive power, was already at the pinnacle. To enhance it further, Muyang would need to deepen her knowledge considerably. Still, the time had come to move forward.
“System, are there no missions in this world?” Muyang asked.
“No, Host has passed the novice phase. The next world is a trial realm, where difficulty will multiply exponentially. The system will then provide main quests. This current world serves as a compensation world, granting the Host exploration points. Exploration points will influence the rewards in this world. Therefore, Host is advised to explore as much as possible and survive,” the system responded.
“System, how exactly is exploration calculated?”
“It is based on the Host’s degree of exploration within this world. There is no clear upper limit for exploration points, so please endeavor to understand the world thoroughly.”
“Very well, then I must venture out,” Muyang stretched and said.
“Thank you for your cooperation. The system will continue to serve you,” the system replied.
As soon as Muyang stepped outside, a blinding sunlight greeted her.
“What time is it now?” Muyang checked her phone.
In the distance, a siren blared—it was a spatial tremor.
“Which spirit is it now? Let’s go check,” Muyang said.
Not far off, a fierce blizzard raged. AST darted through the storm while Shino sat atop a rabbit plushie, flying through the air.
“Has it reached Shino? The power of the Icebound Puppet is truly extraordinary. Despite no formal cultivation, such strength is impressive. The story explains it’s due to the spirit, but maybe I should study it more,” Muyang mused to herself.
“Forget that for now. I should rescue her and bring her to the Snow Empress before Shido gets there. If Shino grows attached to Shido, reclaiming her will be troublesome,” Muyang muttered, heading toward Shino’s location.
A melodious chant echoed—an invocation: Disaster, Great Snow (Ultimate Ice).
Visibility was already poor under the blizzard surrounding Shino, but with Muyang’s addition of heavy snowfall, it dropped another level. The cold deepened as well.
With a swift dash, Muyang grabbed Shino and delivered her safely to the Snow Empress.
Then, casually, she found a window and entered the Mirror World.
By the time AST realized what had happened, both Muyang and Shino were long gone without a trace.
“Commander, the priestess has taken the hermit and vanished instantly. We suspect a spatial-type ability,” reported a young girl.
Onboard a spaceship somewhere, a group fell silent as they watched Muyang’s departure.
“How many abilities does this witch have? First fire, then weather manipulation, now the power to whisk people away and disappear through windows,” Kotoji Mikawa frowned at the video and said...
