Chapter Fifty: Shamelessness

They could never have imagined that Xiao Ye was actually the distinguished figure they had been waiting for all along! And this person was not only a great figure, but a king of a different surname!

In their minds, a king of a different surname would arrive in a luxurious car, escorted by guards, drawing all eyes as he passed. Yet who could have expected Xiao Ye and his companions to appear so simply before the gates of Experimental School No. 2?

Sweat poured from Chen Hua’s head like a waterfall, his whole body trembling involuntarily. Only now did he realize he had already offended the king of a different surname!

“It’s over! This is the end!”

Despair surged within Chen Hua. Offending the king meant only death awaited him.

“King Xiao, please forgive me! I didn’t know you had arrived. I should have come personally to welcome you and cleanse your dust!”

Cold sweat broke out on Chen Hua’s forehead, and his voice quivered as he spoke. If the king held him accountable, his tenure as principal was finished.

“Please forgive today’s events, King Xiao!”

Chen Hua’s cousin immediately knelt on the ground, his words full of trembling fear.

At those words, Xiao Ye snorted softly and his gaze swept toward Chen Hua, making him feel as though he would suffocate.

“I came here today to arrange enrollment for my friend’s sister. Who could have guessed that someone would abuse their power, attempting to strip her of her right to attend school, even expelling her?”

“How to handle such matters, surely I need not say more.”

Suddenly, Xiao Ye’s icy gaze fell upon Chen Hua’s cousin, plunging him into despair.

Hearing this, the cousin’s fist swung backward in a flash.

Chen Hua was knocked to the ground, blood trickling from his nostrils.

“Today, I can’t keep you either. After what you’ve done, you must resign!”

“No, please!”

With a thud, Chen Hua wiped his nosebleed and hurriedly crawled toward Xiao Ye. Raising his hand, he slapped his own face repeatedly, begging for mercy.

“King Xiao, I know I was wrong. Please spare me!”

“I can arrange for your friend’s sister to enroll immediately! I’ll even grant her a full scholarship, a private dormitory, free meals! Anything the school offers, I can give her!”

“Oh? Is that so?”

Chen Hua’s promises only made Xiao Ye’s smile grow colder.

“So you know about all these benefits. It seems you’ve made good use of them before, haven’t you?”

Chen Hua instantly froze, his face turning even darker.

“You misunderstand, King Xiao. I’ve never arranged those things for anyone. They are always distributed according to regulations!”

“No need to explain.”

Xiao Ye waved his hand, and Black Eagle beside him promptly stood up and dragged Chen Hua away. Black Eagle knew exactly where to bring him.

“Wait, Principal Chen, what am I supposed to do when you’re gone?”

Seeing Chen Hua taken away, Xu Jiaojiao became even more anxious, her eyes reddening for fear Xiao Ye would blame her. She hurried closer to Chen Long.

“Ah Long, please speak to King Xiao for me, ask him to spare me. I had nothing to do with this!”

Xu Jiaojiao leaned against Chen Long, rubbing her ample figure against his arm, hoping he would plead on her behalf.

“Ah Long, as long as you’re willing, I’ll be your girlfriend again, or even marry you right away. Is that enough?”

A strange light flickered in Xu Jiaojiao’s eyes. Chen Long knew the king of a different surname, and compared to that, Chen Hua was nothing. If she could hitch a ride on Chen Long’s ship, she was sure to rise with the tide thanks to his connection with the king.

Facing his former girlfriend, Chen Long’s expression suddenly turned grim. He shoved Xu Jiaojiao away with a single palm.

“Get away from me! Shameless woman!”

Xu Jiaojiao screamed in pain as she fell heavily to the ground, looking at Chen Long in disbelief.

But Chen Long didn’t even spare her a glance, deliberately avoiding her gaze.

Once, he had hoped to win Xu Jiaojiao back as his girlfriend.

But seeing her now, he understood just how hateful she truly was.

One moment she could flirt with Chen Hua, the next she turned to beg him for reconciliation.

“Take this woman as well. Interrogate them together later.”

Xiao Ye commanded coldly, and Xu Jiaojiao was promptly seized and sent to the police car.

“No, King of a different surname!”

“Chen Long, please beg the king for me! If he lets me go, I’ll do whatever you want!”

Xu Jiaojiao screamed hysterically, but her cries won no sympathy. On the contrary, as passersby saw her and the principal taken away, their gazes grew strange.

In no time, Chen Hua and Xu Jiaojiao were gone, Xiao Ye leaving them no room for maneuver.

Outside the school gates, everyone looked toward Xiao Ye in shock, never imagining the king of a different surname would appear in such a place.

“All right, please help arrange this girl’s enrollment so she can attend as soon as possible.”

Xiao Ye showed no emotion as he spoke to Chen Hua’s cousin.

With Chen Long’s sister able to enroll successfully, the rest no longer required Xiao Ye’s attention.

“Thank you, King Xiao, for your support of the school!”

Chen Hua’s cousin forced a smile. Today, he had acted with righteousness against his own kin; the Chen family would never accept him now.

But that was not his concern at the moment.

“Xiao Ye, thank you!”

Chen Long hugged Xiao Ye gratefully, his eyes moist. Without Xiao Ye, he would never have been able to arrange for his sister to attend Experimental School No. 2.

“Haha, it was nothing. No need to thank me.”

Xiao Ye smiled.

“But it seems you won’t be reconciling with your ex-girlfriend after all. What now?”

“If not, then not. What’s so good about a woman like that?”

Surprisingly, Chen Long was more carefree than Xiao Ye had expected. He glanced at Black Eagle nearby, a fleeting tremor passing through his eyes.
