Chapter Sixty-Four: A True Tough One

Qiu Yan stood at the entrance to the medicinal cuisine house, her whole body radiating a chilling, murderous aura. She glared furiously at the remaining crowd and barked, “If you want to die, I’ll grant your wish!”

Jin Biao trembled all over. He could hardly believe that such a formidable figure was hidden in this humble medicinal cuisine house. The infantryman had told him that Xu Yun was terrifying, but Jin Biao had used a diversion to lure Xu Yun away, leaving Zhao Sanlai to deal with him. That was why he dared to bring Xia Lei and Liu Huazi with him. Clearly, the information he had bought for a hundred thousand from the infantryman was not accurate.

Jin Biao thought to himself that so long as the mountains remained, there would be firewood to burn. If Zhao Sanlai succeeded tonight in dealing with Xu Yun, he’d have another chance to seize this place next time. He gritted his teeth and said, “I admit defeat today. From now on, Jin Biao and you people in South District Two will keep to our own waters.”

Qiu Yan couldn’t be bothered to waste words with such a person. “Get out.”

“Hmph...” Jin Biao snorted and turned to leave.

“Didn’t you hear her? She said get out!” Guo Guo was unwilling to let it go. This burly, middle-aged man dared to try and snatch the house her father had bought so cheaply. Of course Guo Guo wasn’t going to forgive him so easily.

Jin Biao was stunned; he hadn’t expected this little girl to be so aggressive. He decided to ignore her and kept walking out.

But someone wasn’t going to allow that. Since Guo Guo had told him to roll, Qiu Yan naturally wouldn’t let him walk out. Suddenly, two chopsticks shot from Qiu Yan’s hand, striking Jin Biao behind the knees. His legs gave way and he collapsed, kneeling on the ground.

Qiu Yan’s voice was devoid of emotion, simply describing an action: “I told you to roll out, not walk out.”

Jin Biao steeled himself. A real man can bend and stretch. He’d miscalculated today, and he admitted defeat before a master. Still, so long as he could get out, he resolved to spend whatever it took to hire a peerless expert to wipe them all out.

Weighing nearly two hundred pounds, Jin Biao threw himself to the ground and, gritting his teeth, rolled out.

With their boss leading the way, the rest of his men didn’t dare say a word. Before Qiu Yan could act, they all lay down and rolled out of the medicinal cuisine house, one after another, as if playing some sort of chain game.

...

Xu Yun, hurrying back to the medicinal cuisine house, saw the scene and could guess with his toes that this was Guo Guo’s idea. Ruan Qingshuang wouldn’t think of such a prank, nor would Qiu Yan be so childish...

Qiangzi saw Jin Biao rolling out of the house and pinched his thigh hard, just to make sure he wasn’t dreaming.

The Three Tigers of South City, who returned out of concern, were utterly stunned. They had been so worried, but now realized it wasn’t necessary at all. With Qiu Yan here, Jin Biao bringing twenty or thirty men without even a gun was asking for trouble.

“Let’s go!” Jin Biao stood up, his face dark and grim. He would never forgive the woman who humiliated him, especially that little girl!

“You come and go as you please. What do you take me for?” Xu Yun smiled faintly and walked straight toward Jin Biao.

Jin Biao shuddered and glared at Xu Yun. “Who are you?!”

“Xu Yun.”

The two syllables thundered in Jin Biao’s ears, making his flesh tremble once more. His gaze shifted from suspicion to terror. Zhao Sanlai had brought a gun and over two hundred men, yet failed to keep this man in Hongnan District? Impossible! Unless this man was superhuman, how else could he escape such a trap?

In his panic, Jin Biao pulled out his phone to call for confirmation.

“No need.” Xu Yun waved his hand dismissively. “Your people have definitely been taken away by the police. Don’t worry, wait a bit. Soon, the infamous violent police flower will be here.”

Jin Biao’s eyes widened. “What do you mean?”

Xu Yun dropped his playful demeanor. His eyes turned icy and his anger showed plainly—anger not only for Qiangzi’s injuries, but also for this man’s attempt to snatch away the hard-earned efforts of Ruan Qingshuang, who had already suffered once. Xu Yun would not allow it to happen again.

“Want to know?” The three words from Xu Yun’s lips sounded, to Jin Biao’s ears, like they came from hell.

... Jin Biao’s years of underworld experience told him this was someone he couldn’t afford to provoke. Fifteen years ago, he’d done two years in prison, where he’d met a prison boss with the same aura as Xu Yun. Rumor had it that man was an underground master, and no one dared challenge his authority. Jin Biao had quaked in fear before him, and now, to his surprise, this seemingly obscure young man gave him the same feeling.

This was the real tough one.

Jin Biao finally spoke, abandoning even the thought of revenge. “Brother, name your price. If I’ve offended you in any way, I apologize here and now. If I so much as look at South District of Hedong City again, may I die a miserable death.”

Xu Yun ignored Jin Biao’s retreat and simply said, “Too late.”

“Damn!” Xia Lei, who had nearly been killed by Qiu Yan, refused to give up. He stood up, gritted his teeth, drew the dagger from his waist, and strode at Xu Yun. “I’ll kill you—ah!!”

He didn’t even finish his sentence before Xu Yun’s lightning-fast kick, snake-like and vicious, struck his groin.

Everyone shuddered; such a ruthless kick, aimed straight at cutting off his lineage! Not just an ordinary person, even monks trained in Iron Shirt would go down under this blow.

“Brother Biao, you go first.” Liu Huazi, loyal to a fault, stepped in front of Xu Yun, knowing he was no match but still blocking the way.

By now, the Three Tigers of South City had arrived. Dan Hongning frowned. “Liu Huazi, if you know what’s good for you, step aside!”

“Hua Zi, everyone on the street thinks you’re a real man. If you move, I’ll vouch for you to Brother Yun today.” Lu Feng looked at Xu Yun. “Brother Yun, I’ve got a good eye for people.”

Before Xu Yun could reply, Liu Huazi cursed, “Good eye my ass! If you’re so sharp, how come you didn’t see that infantryman who sells stolen cars is a money-grubbing bastard?”

Lu Feng’s face darkened. So it was the infantryman who sold them out—damn that dog!

Without another word, Xu Yun suddenly punched, his fist carrying fierce wind and layered strength, sending Liu Huazi flying several meters, leaving him lying on the ground unable to rise.

Today, no one’s pleas would work. Anyone threatening the people of the medicinal cuisine house would find no forgiveness.

“From now on, Jin Biao and everyone with me will follow you!” Jin Biao saw his two lieutenants beaten and instantly decided: “The entire commercial street of Nantuo District, all our power, I’ll give it to you, brother, and every entertainment venue in Jingxuan District, too—they’re all yours!”

Xu Yun snorted disdainfully. “You’re not giving them to me. I’m taking them myself.”

Jin Biao gritted his teeth. “Brother, take a step back and the sea opens wide!”

“That sounds familiar.” Xu Yun frowned.

Guo Guo had been listening outside, but Ruan Qingshuang held her back from running out. Hearing this, Guo Guo couldn’t resist and shouted from outside, “Daddy, it was that old dog from the Dead Dog Gang who said it!”

Xu Yun nodded, smiling and thanking Guo Guo, “Yes, yes, now I remember! Guo Guo, you’re amazing, you remember everything.”

“Of course!” Guo Guo hadn’t finished boasting before Ruan Qingshuang dragged her back inside.

Four Wolves Gang’s Wang Shunxi... Jin Biao’s eyes flashed with unease. The public trial of Wang Shunxi had only happened days ago; he’d been sentenced to thirty years for all sorts of crimes—organized crime, illegal firearms, disturbing the peace, bullying, and more.

Suddenly Jin Biao realized: he’d never believed a mere police officer could topple the Four Wolves Gang and the Axes Association. Turns out there was a master helping! He had seriously underestimated the people of the South District.

A taxi stopped two hundred meters away. The driver, apprehensive, said, “Big sister...”

“Who are you calling big sister?!” Qin Wan’er snapped, veins popping.

“Sorry, miss...”

“You’re the miss! Your whole family are misses!” Qin Wan’er exploded—this driver really didn’t know how to talk.

The driver’s face darkened. “Um... Lady, is that all right? You should get out here, it looks chaotic up ahead...”

Only then did Qin Wan’er notice the situation in front of the medicinal cuisine house. Without another word, she opened the door and ran over!

The driver stared for a few seconds before realizing, “Hey, you didn’t pay!”

Qin Wan’er had no other thoughts, rushing straight to the house. Seeing the Three Tigers of South City, she burned with anger. “What trouble are you up to this time?”

The three jumped in fright, but relaxed when they saw it was Qin Wan’er.

“Speak of the devil,” Xu Yun turned and grinned. “Do you know who this is?”

Qin Wan’er was momentarily stunned. Although she didn’t manage East District Two, she often heard of notorious figures like Jin Biao. Of course she recognized him. “East Boss, Jin Biao.”

“Well, you do know a lot.” Xu Yun raised his eyebrows and pointed at Qiangzi’s hands. “See? This guy did it—causing serious injury. We’re all witnesses.”

Jin Biao tensed. This kid was clearly giving the police a chance to arrest him! Qiangzi’s hands weren’t his doing; those acts belonged to Zhao Sanlai.

Qin Wan’er had worked with Xu Yun before. After Wang Shunxi and Fan Nanjie’s cases, she wasn’t even surprised that Xu Yun handed her another big thug. Calmly, she replied, “Fine, I owe you one. Tell me what you want to eat later.”

The police had long wanted to arrest Jin Biao, but he was too cunning, always having his underlings take the fall. They’d never had a chance to detain him. Now was the perfect opportunity; with evidence, they could interrogate him. The city bureau had been suspecting him of involvement in the recent shooting at Letian Entertainment in Jingxuan District. Now was the time for questioning!

Jin Biao wasn’t one to surrender meekly. As long as he could escape, he’d find someone to take the blame. Suddenly, he sprinted toward his Mercedes S350, flung open the door, and dove inside!
