Chapter 130: Whose Fault Is It?

Su Wanning set down the bottle she was holding and looked up at Yin Shanshan sitting opposite her, asking with a hint of confusion, "Why is he the one cooking for me?"
The moment she spoke, the lively atmosphere at the dinner table instantly cooled.
The others exchanged awkward glances, casting a quick look at Qin Jingchen sitting beside Su Wanning. Even Yu Xin was desperately signaling to her, but Su Wanning remained completely oblivious.
She continued, "We clearly lost the match together, so the punishment should be shared. Why is he the one helping me?"
Yin Shanshan was momentarily speechless, unable to retort. Her face flushed and paled, and she could only offer an embarrassed smile without responding.
No one noticed that in the corner, Fang Wei’s gaze toward Su Wanning subtly shifted, a change even she herself was unaware of.
Qin Jingchen, seated next to Su Wanning, didn’t engage in the conversation between her and Yin Shanshan. He simply reached out quietly to hand her another bottle of drink.
After dinner, Yin Shanshan quickly disappeared, avoiding the cameras as she retreated to the RV to make a phone call.
“…Yeah, things aren’t looking good here. You need to rearrange the schedule and come help me as soon as possible.”
Fang Wei, who had just returned, happened to overhear the call outside the vehicle, her expression instantly changing.
Before she could react, Yin Shanshan hung up abruptly, opened the RV door, and locked eyes with Fang Wei, who was standing outside.
Yin Shanshan frowned slightly. “When did you get back? Why didn’t you knock?”
Fang Wei felt a bit awkward and lowered her head, answering softly, “I live here too. Why would I need to knock?”
Yin Shanshan was momentarily speechless. She glanced sideways at the cameraman nearby and forced a smile. “I meant I could come and open the door for you.”
…
Meanwhile, on the other side, Su Wanning finally managed to avoid Qin Jingchen and found Wang Zan. The two were locked inside a small tent, the mood tense.
Wang Zan felt uneasy under Su Wanning’s intense gaze and spoke first, “If you have something to say, just say it. Don’t stare at me like that.”
Su Wanning exhaled in relief. “Alright, then arrange a separate room for Qin Jingchen, or just find an excuse to send him away.”
Wang Zan’s eyes widened slightly. “Why?”
Su Wanning’s voice grew louder than his. “He’s not even a guest on our show. Why is he allowed to stay here all this time?”

“Well, although he’s not a guest, Mr. Qin is currently our biggest sponsor and the boss. I can’t speak up about this.”
Now it was Su Wanning’s turn to be at a loss for words. After all, when it came to money, she sometimes had to bow her head.
Wang Zan studied Su Wanning’s expression curiously and asked indirectly, “But aren’t you two married? Why don’t you want him to stay?”
Recalling the awkward interactions between Su Wanning and Qin Jingchen on the show lately, Wang Zan’s eyes widened. “Could it be that your marriage is just for show?”
“What are you talking about? We’re genuinely married, no fakes,” Su Wanning replied firmly.
“That’s good, that’s good.” Wang Zan visibly relaxed, even patting his chest, as if Su Wanning and Qin Jingchen’s marriage somehow affected his own well-being.
Their conversation ended on an uneasy note. Su Wanning wandered outside for a while before heading straight into Yu Xin’s tent.
At that moment, Yu Xin had already changed into pajamas, ready for bed. Seeing Su Wanning enter, she assumed there was something important to discuss.
“What’s up? Do you have plans?”
“No, not really.” Su Wanning sat down inside the tent. Da Xi, who was about to sleep, was delighted to see her. He bounced over and crawled into her arms.
“Aunt Su, why are you coming so late?”
“Nothing, just came to see you. Not happy about it?”
Da Xi shook his head like a rattle drum. “Of course not! You’re my favorite!”
Yu Xin, sitting on her bedding, watched the scene with a hint of jealousy. “Yeah, yeah, after all this time I’ve taken care of you, you still like Aunt Su best.”
Da Xi stayed quiet, aware of the delicate relationship between him and Yu Xin. Their bond was never like the close, mother-daughter type portrayed on the show; it was more of a professional partnership.
“Come on, why argue with a child?” Su Wanning said, then looked down at Da Xi. “It’s late, and tomorrow we have an early shoot. You should go to bed. I have something to talk about with Aunt Yu Xin.”
“Okay.”
Da Xi obediently snuggled into bed, soon breathing evenly and deeply.
Yu Xin then sat beside Su Wanning, eyeing her curiously. “What’s this secret you want to share?”

Su Wanning hesitated, unsure where to begin.
“It’s nothing really, I just don’t want to go back so early.”
Yu Xin, who had been sitting across from her, immediately scooted closer, her face lit with curiosity. “What’s wrong? Did you have a fight with Mr. Qin? Because of what happened at dinner?”
Su Wanning looked at her oddly. “What’s there to fight about dinner?”
“You were accusing him like that at the table. Of course, a respectable CEO would be upset!” Yu Xin rolled her eyes.
“Maybe I overreacted a little, but he did mess up,” Su Wanning reflected. Compared to Qin Jingchen’s calculated schemes against her, her accusations seemed almost magnanimous.
Yu Xin clicked her tongue in amazement. “How did a person like you even get married?”
“I—”
Now it was Su Wanning’s turn to be speechless. After all, she wasn’t the one who initially married Qin Jingchen.
“Alright, stop making a fuss. I think Mr. Qin is really a good guy. Even though you two failed the mission together, he’s not a guest on the show but an investor. It’s understandable he wouldn’t want to cook, but he still helped you out, didn’t he?”
“That should have been the case anyway,” Su Wanning said, feeling strangely guilty.
Yu Xin saw through her tough exterior. “Besides, he’s just like Bu. Even after you publicly criticized him in front of the cameras and all of us, he didn’t get angry. Instead, he was very considerate toward you. But you kept pushing him away, which just made things awkward.”
“Alright, alright, the more I listen to you, the more it sounds like it’s my fault.”
“Well, it is your fault!” Yu Xin blurted out bluntly.
Su Wanning’s mind was a mess. At this moment, she began to doubt herself.
Suddenly, a faint sound came from outside the tent.
