Chapter 50: Believe in Sister Porcelain, Attain Eternal Life!
The relaxed expression on Xiao Yang’s face gradually changed. His thoughts became muddled, beads of sweat broke out on his forehead, and his body tensed up.
Huo Shuyue watched him anxiously. “Xiao Yang, are you alright?”
He shook his head, signaling he was fine. Yet, as he looked at his own leg, his pupils slowly lost focus.
At that moment, only one thought remained in his mind: to claw at his leg with all his strength, even to cut it off entirely. This urge grew ever stronger with each needle Gu Ci applied.
Gu Ci’s acupuncture focused on “balancing” and “replenishing,” and now she was pushing “replenishing” to its extreme. Using a special technique, she activated Xiao Yang’s cellular activity while continuously supplementing him, which was an immense stimulation.
Unconsciously, Xiao Yang reached out his hand…
Suddenly, he felt a cool sensation. Huo Shuyue, following Gu Ci’s instructions, pressed down on his hand.
He snapped back to reality, as if waking from a dream. His pupils refocused, and he realized his hand had already reached toward his leg. If Huo Shuyue hadn’t stopped him, he might have scratched his leg frantically without restraint.
“Don’t move. Bear with it,” Gu Ci’s voice was as steady and calm as ever, as if pouring icy water into Xiao Yang’s heart, instantly calming him.
He took a deep breath, trying to divert his attention, while Huo Shuyue watched his hand nervously.
When the acupuncture was finished, fatigue creased Gu Ci’s brow, and sweat dotted her nose.
Xiao Yang’s leg was connected to a small Re-moda machine, brought by Dr. Gu. Unlike popular X-ray machines, this device could monitor cellular healing at the fracture site in real time.
As soon as Gu Ci finished, Dr. Gu’s eyes were fixed on the Re-moda’s display.
Xiao Yang’s bone cells had been repairing at a steady rate, but after Gu Ci’s treatment, the cells on the screen suddenly sped up, as if the video had been put on fast-forward.
Even Huo Shuyue had to concede—was Xiao Yang’s rapid recovery truly thanks to Gu Ci’s intervention?

Involuntarily, Huo Shuyue’s gaze toward Gu Ci grew complicated.
Dr. Gu had already instructed the nurses to check other patients’ conditions. Seeing Gu Ci’s acupuncture and knowing he was no longer needed here, he took his leave.
Gu Ci escorted Dr. Gu to the ward door, and he gently reminded, “Xiao Yang is recovering well, but it’s best not to take part in strenuous activity yet.”
Xiao Yang, elated by his swift recovery, grinned from ear to ear and cheerfully agreed, though only he knew if he’d really heed the advice.
Dr. Gu looked at Xiao Yang, his eyes showing a hint of reluctance, but said nothing more.
“Thank you,” Gu Ci said as she saw him out.
Dr. Gu was momentarily surprised, then smiled. “It’s nothing.”
This young woman was truly perceptive…
Returning to the ward, Gu Ci spread out her hand. “Where’s your medicine?”
Xiao Yang thought she wanted to check if he’d taken it as instructed. Without hesitation, he took the medicine she gave him from the drawer, thumping his chest and declaring, “Sister Ci, check away! If I miss even one pill, I’ll call you ‘Dad’!”
At first, Xiao Yang had hesitated about taking the medicine, but ultimately chose to trust Gu Ci. Now, it seemed his choice was right!
Trust Sister Ci, and you’ll live forever!
Gu Ci opened the bottle, her eyes turning cold.
Since learning of his rapid recovery, Xiao Yang had been in high spirits. Now, with Gu Ci initiating the conversation, he couldn’t help but chatter, “Sister Ci, look! I took all the medicine you told me to, right? Does that mean I’ll be walking soon? When I do, I’ll make sure to beat Cao Yue so badly he won’t know what hit him!”
Huo Shuyue struggled between not wanting to admit Gu Ci’s excellence and having to do so, and seeing Xiao Yang’s fawning, almost sycophantic manner toward Gu Ci, she felt a surge of jealousy.
Leaning in to inspect the bottle, she deliberately nitpicked, “I thought it would be some special medicine, but it looks just like Vitamin C. Nothing remarkable about it.”
“Sister Ci, why didn’t you make this into pills?” Xiao Yang had always wondered. Previously, her medicines were colorful pills, sometimes shaped like cats or dogs when she was in a good mood.
This change looked more professional, though it took some getting used to.
Gu Ci concealed her coldness and replied calmly, “It’s more convenient this way.”
“For the next two days, don’t move around without my permission, and don’t get out of bed, got it?” As she spoke, she handed the bottle back to Xiao Yang.
He took it without suspicion, absent-mindedly accepting her instructions.
After giving her reminders, Gu Ci bade the two farewell and left.
Once outside, she sent a string of data and an address to someone.

[Eric: Okay]
[GC: Thank you]
Once she finished, her whole aura turned icy, so forbidding that no one dared approach.
She pulled off a small block from her bracelet, pinched it between thumb and forefinger, and a silvery fingerprint shimmered across its surface. The block unfolded into a sheet as thin as paper.
Tapping several times, a surveillance feed appeared.
There was no camera inside Xiao Yang’s ward, so Gu Ci accessed the hallway footage.
She rewound to yesterday evening, fast-forwarded, paused, and saw Shi Xuetong leaving Xiao Yang’s room, visibly nervous. She followed the footage to the hospital entrance; from there, the hospital’s cameras lost sight of her.
Gu Ci sneered, entered a few commands, and the footage from outside reappeared.
She watched as Shi Xuetong tossed several black pills into a trash can, icy rage radiating from Gu Ci.
She snapped the block back to its original shape and reattached it to her bracelet.
Shi Xuetong, so fond of swapping other people’s medicine at will?
…
…
Not long after Gu Ci left, Shi Xuetong returned to Xiao Yang’s ward.
Her face was flushed with excitement as she presented something to Xiao Yang like a treasure. “Look what I brought you!”
Xiao Yang glanced sideways, instantly frowning. “Where did you get this?”
Shi Xuetong was holding the special medicine developed by Sacred Heart Hospital.
She said proudly, “I went to those few people who haven’t been suspended and bought it for you. Use it, Xiao Yang! I believe with this, you’ll recover in no time.”
Xiao Yang was exasperated. “Shi Xuetong, are you out of your mind? This stuff isn’t safe!”
Especially since he had Gu Ci—he’d have to be crazy to use medicine with unknown effects and side effects.
“But I spent so much money getting this for you, and you don’t want it?” Shi Xuetong stared in disbelief.
“No,” Xiao Yang replied, growing impatient.
Shi Xuetong, eyes red with anger, ran out of the room.
