Chapter Sixty: A Loss of Composure After Drinking

Elise tugged at her hand. “Joanna, sit down and let’s talk!”
“No, I won’t sit until he answers me!” Joanna was clearly a bit tipsy, her tone distinctly different from usual.
Luo Chen cleared his throat. “Joanna…”
He was immediately cut off. “So long-winded. Just call me Joanna!”
Luo Chen had no choice but to comply. “Alright, Joanna. Honestly, when you first hit me with your Scorching Flame Palm during tutoring, it did hurt. But after getting hit a few more times, I got used to it. Now that tutoring is over, it actually feels strange not to be hit.”
Shi Feng listened with his mouth agape. These two, one enjoys hitting, the other enjoys being hit—they really are a match made in heaven… a pair of degenerate lovers!

Elise shot her a look. “Joanna, you’re drunk!”
“I am not drunk, Lily. I remember very clearly, last time in the dorm I said I’d… I’d rape you, didn’t I?” Joanna’s tongue was already slurring, her words fragmented and unfiltered.

Elise was on the verge of tears, utterly ruined by Joanna, leaving the two men convinced she was into women.
The seemingly tough female head of discipline, in truth, couldn’t hold her liquor at all—a single bottle of mild champagne had her completely floored. By the time they left the restaurant, Joanna could barely stand, leaning heavily on Elise for support.
Elise smiled wryly at Joanna, who was still rambling nonsense. “I’m so sorry. Honestly, this is my first time drinking champagne with Joanna too. I thought it was no stronger than a regular drink. I never expected this. Joanna’s behavior just now—please don’t take it to heart.”
Luo Chen laughed. “It’s alright. She’s just straightforward. Let’s head back to the academy.”
With Elise’s strength, helping a drunk wasn’t a problem. But Joanna suddenly shook off her hand, pointed at Luo Chen, and said, “Hey, you, I… I want you…”

Seeing Joanna getting more out of hand, Elise whispered, “Enough, Joanna. Do you even know what you’re saying?”
Joanna then added, “I… I want you to support me!”
“Me?” Luo Chen pointed to himself, at a loss.
Joanna’s drunken gaze was hazy. “Hmph, I just want to see if, after you left Lily in the Forest of Fear, you’d leave me here too!”
Her earlier outburst had already drawn a crowd, and now, hearing this, people glared at Luo Chen with righteous indignation. That scoundrel—he’s not even that good-looking, yet he managed to win over two stunning girls and then abandoned one? The world is truly unfair. Why don’t good things like that ever happen to me?
Elise was getting a headache. She vowed never to let Joanna near alcohol again. “Joanna, stop it. Come back with me. Everyone’s watching.”
“No, I… I want him to help me. If he had the nerve to leave you in the Forest of Fear, does he dare to leave me on the street?” Joanna was now throwing a tantrum, her mind too muddled for reason. You can’t expect logical thinking from a drunk—once they fixate on something, it’s nearly impossible to change. Joanna even shook off Elise’s hand, throwing herself onto Luo Chen instead.
A delicate fragrance assailed Luo Chen’s senses as he instinctively caught her to prevent her from falling, and immediately felt the softness of her ample curves. The rumors about her fiery figure were no exaggeration.

Luo Chen was extremely embarrassed, unsure whether to push her away or hold her steady, and could only look to Elise for help.
“There’s really no dealing with her. Well then, Luo Chen, I’ll have to trouble you to support her for a while,” Elise said.
Luo Chen replied, “Elise, if she remembers tonight when she sobers up, you have to explain for me. I swear I didn’t take advantage of her.”
Beside them, Shi Feng made suggestive faces, rubbing his hands as if to say, A chance like this delivered to your door and you’re not taking it? Are you an idiot?
“Don’t worry, I will,” Elise promised.
With Elise’s reassurance, Luo Chen finally reached out and pulled Joanna up, supporting her as they made their way back to the academy. Though he had no intention of taking advantage, Joanna was draped over him, her soft curves pressed against him, making it nearly impossible not to have improper thoughts.
Upon returning to Weston Academy, the group immediately attracted the attention of other students. When they saw Luo Chen supporting Joanna, their eyes nearly popped out of their heads, as if they were witnessing pigs flying overhead.

Elise was right there and said nothing, leaving everyone baffled as to what had happened. Their minds were all spinning.
