[Reincarnator Chen Mo, total rewards: two Grade A side quests, two Grade B side quests, one Grade C side quest, and 63,500 reward points.]
A massive windfall!
"God, full restoration. Deduct the reward points from my account!"
Chen Mo shouted. As soon as the words left his lips, seven beams of light descended from the sky, bathing the group.
Except for Chu Hao, whose body had undergone some alienation from the alien blue light and required a longer restoration process from the God's beam, the others were only briefly illuminated before returning to the ground.
Everyone was covered in dust. Although Chen Mo’s efforts had saved them from the collapsing safe house and achieved a no-casualty outcome, the stirred-up debris left them looking disheveled, and the God's beam did not provide a cleaning service.
As the light faded, Chu Hao landed back on the ground, his body completely healed, inside and out, without a single scar remaining.
The group looked at each other, seeing the dust-streaked, comical faces of their companions, and a wave of laughter began to spread.
They tried to suppress their laughter... holding it in, and holding it in again... but how could they possibly resist such a ridiculous sight?
"Hahahaha..."
Pointing at each other’s faces, they laughed uncontrollably, their mouths unable to close, rocking back and forth... Finally, everyone collapsed onto the floor, laughing until they were completely exhausted and could laugh no more.
They were standing on a vast, empty platform. In the center sat an unimaginably massive ball of light, serving as a sun that illuminated the entire space, while the edges of the platform were surrounded by endless, absolute darkness.
The God’s Domain... they had finally arrived.
Chen Mo scanned the surroundings: Chu Hao, Jenny, J, Ares, Osas... and that blonde woman whose name he wasn't even sure of—they had all survived.
*Heh, come to think of it, this blonde woman, though only in her thirties and decent-looking, is referred to as "Auntie." I actually managed to keep someone like that alive and bring her back to the God's Domain...*
*And speaking of which, it seems Jenny never explained the "Creation" function in the original plot, which meant the North Ice Team didn't know about the free creation feature until Chu Hao obtained captain authority.*
*Should I follow Zhang Jie’s example and say everyone should create a woman, deal with whatever later, and then create a beautiful anime-style girl to spend a night worth a thousand gold in my private room?*
*Forget it. With the chat group existing, who knows if a created being might one day become a member of the group? That would be incredibly awkward...*
Chen Mo’s inner joy mirrored his outward expression, bubbling up until he had laughed his fill. As the others’ laughter subsided, his heart eventually settled.
"We're back...!"
Jenny lay flat on the floor in a sprawling "X" shape, staring at the distant God sphere, a blissful smile on her face.
"Hehe, everyone survived. We all made it out, plus all these side quests and reward points... Hehe, we struck it rich!"
After the laughter faded, their thoughts gradually stabilized, and they began to reflect on the events that had just transpired.
"What exactly was that at the end?"
Chu Hao was the first to ask, looking toward Jenny and Chen Mo.
"I think I saw a figure appear near the alien ship, and with a single punch, they blew it to pieces... The shockwave from that terrifying power reached us. If it weren't for Chen Mo, we probably would have perished there."
"I have no idea," Jenny said, sitting up with a confused expression. "A single punch to destroy an alien spaceship? What kind of terrifying power is that? Wasn't this a sci-fi movie? Where did a Superman come from?"
"Could it be that it was actually the DC universe?" Ares speculated boldly. "Alien invasion, Justice League fighting back... something like that?"
J scoffed, "If that were the case, Superman showed up way too late. The invasion had been going on for four days; what was he doing all that time?"
"Uh, maybe he was busy fighting other aliens? Aliens who were too busy to deal with anyone else?"
"Unlikely," Chu Hao shook his head. "Do you remember the God's notification before we returned?"
"South Yan Team... Jenny, Chen Mo, are there other reincarnator teams in the God's Domain? It can't just be us, right?"
"That’s right, other teams do exist," Jenny nodded, finally stepping into her role as a veteran. "But I don't know exactly how many. I only know our team is the North Ice Team. The strongest is the Central Plains Team, known for 'killing gods if they stand in their way, and demons if they block them.' Then there’s the Demon Team, which is also very powerful, and the Heavenly God Team."
"As for the others, I’m not sure. Except for this South Yan Team—when I first joined the North Ice Team, we clashed with them. Our team was nearly wiped out; many veterans and the newcomers who arrived with me were all killed."
"But later, one of our veterans devised a plan and killed more than half of the South Yan Team. That veteran died in the process, leaving only me and a few newcomers alive."
"I see," Chu Hao nodded. "In that case, the person who destroyed the alien ship must have been a reincarnator. Maybe from the Central Plains Team, the Demon Team, or the Heavenly God Team... only they would possess that kind of power and record."
Chu Hao continued to ask various questions about the God's Domain, and Jenny answered them one by one, while Chen Mo frowned slightly to the side.
Chu Hao’s logic was slightly off... he seemed to have completely ignored the part about killing the South Yan Team, not mentioning it at all. And Jenny, as someone who had been through a team battle, why were you questioning a battle that had no notification from God?
Furthermore, wiping out the South Yan Team hadn't granted a team-wide Grade C side quest reward... could resources be skimmed like that?
Damn it, this behind-the-scenes interference was ridiculous. It was a good thing it seemed limited to this single mission, otherwise, it would be a disaster.
Watching the others discuss, Chen Mo glanced at the distant glowing sphere, his hunger for power growing more intense than ever.
...
In a dark space that no one could observe or detect, inside a tuning chamber, a young girl submerged in liquid pushed up her plain glasses and looked at the newspaper in her hand. Her expressionless face showed a faint ripple.
