Chapter 110: Xuanxuzi

Reminded by Little Bunny Meng, Bai Xiaoyue suddenly recalled that ever since she, Little Bunny Meng, and Songta had left the hidden realm beneath Jade Flower Peak, they had never gone back. She could not help laughing.
“Xiaomeng, we really have become so absorbed in our pleasures that we’ve forgotten all else! If you hadn’t mentioned planting vegetables, I would have completely forgotten about the hidden realm beneath Jade Flower Peak. Since we have some free time today, why don’t we go back after lunch and take a look? We can also store the useful things we left there in the storage ring…”
“Wonderful! I agree!” Little Bunny Meng immediately raised both hands in approval. “Brother Yan, Sister Mei’er, Songta—shall we all go together?”
“Of course!” Yan Chixia said with a laugh. “She Meier, how about everyone rides your Wishful Divine Vessel to Jade Flower Peak later?”
“No problem!” She Meier replied with a radiant smile. “Everyone can ride my Wishful Divine Vessel. I guarantee it will be both swift and safe.”
“Really?” Little Bunny Meng could not help asking. “Sister, your Wishful Divine Vessel has already flown such a long distance today. If we all ride it again, will it still have enough true energy stored inside? It won’t suddenly meet with an accident halfway through the journey, will it?”
When She Meier heard this, she realized that Little Bunny Meng had been left with a lingering fear by her earlier warning about the vessel being destroyed and everyone aboard dying. She could not help laughing helplessly.
“Hee-hee, Mengmeng, you certainly have a good memory. You still remember something that happened more than three months ago! I’m sorry, Mengmeng—I deceived you last time. I was eager to learn how to draw talismans on paper, and when I saw you riding the Wishful Divine Vessel endlessly, I frightened you by saying that the true energy stored inside it was about to run out, and that continuing to fly might result in the vessel being destroyed and everyone aboard being killed. In truth, the Wishful Divine Vessel does not need stored true energy as fuel. It possesses an unlimited supply of energy of its own. If I wished, I could keep it flying forever. So you can set your mind at ease. Forget traveling to Jade Flower Peak—even flying to the ends of the earth would be no problem!”
“Oh, so that’s how it is.” Little Bunny Meng’s face brightened with delight. “That’s wonderful! Hee-hee… Sister, to tell you the truth, I only recently cultivated myself into human form. I haven’t even had the chance to bloom yet, so I certainly don’t want to die young!”
She Meier, Bai Xiaoyue, Yan Chixia, and Songta all burst into laughter.
After chatting and laughing their way through lunch, everyone boarded She Meier’s Wishful Divine Vessel and set off for Jade Flower Peak.
The Wishful Divine Vessel sped forward at full speed. Before long, it arrived at the stone cavern halfway up Jade Flower Peak.

The Wishful Divine Vessel descended slowly to the ground. Its cabin door opened, and Yan Chixia, Bai Xiaoyue, Little Bunny Meng, and Songta filed out one after another. She Meier was the last to emerge. She silently recited an incantation and stored the Wishful Divine Vessel inside her storage ring.
Bai Xiaoyue headed toward the cavern entrance first. She had set up a barrier there and needed to activate its opening spell so that the others could enter.
When she reached the entrance and was about to wave her hand and open the barrier, she discovered that it had already collapsed. She glanced at She Meier standing beside her, her face filled with embarrassment.
“Sister, I’m afraid I’ve made a fool of myself. I left the barrier I set up at the entrance unattended for only three months, and it has already collapsed! It seems that the techniques of a rogue cultivator truly cannot withstand scrutiny.”
“Hehe…” She Meier immediately smiled and comforted her. “It’s all right, Yue’er. You have already begun cultivating the orthodox path of the human world. I believe that with your intelligence and talent, it will not be long before you achieve brilliant results!”
“That’s right!” Yan Chixia added with a smile. “Sister is intelligent and diligent, and never afraid of hardship. On the path of cultivation, you will surely cut through every obstacle and enjoy a magnificent future!”
“Thank you, Sister and Little Brother, for your enthusiastic encouragement!” Bai Xiaoyue replied with a radiant smile. “Sister, Little Brother, Xiaomeng, Songta—let us encourage one another. On the path of cultivation, we shall ride the wind and break the waves together, striving bravely toward the summit!”
“Yes! Let’s work hard together!”
As they spoke, Yan Chixia, Bai Xiaoyue, Little Bunny Meng, Songta, and She Meier entered the stone cavern together and followed its exceedingly deep passage toward the hidden realm.
The moment they stepped inside, they were all stunned by what they saw. An old man of solemn and dignified appearance stood beside the vegetable patch, staring blankly at the lush green radishes and leafy vegetables.
“Who are you?” Little Bunny Meng immediately called out. “How did you get into our hidden realm?”
The old man let out a surprised “Oh?” He looked up at them in astonishment, then spoke in a cold voice.

“How I got in is not important. What matters is how you got in. Besides, this Profound Void Abode was chosen by me, Profound Void Master, as a place of cultivation five hundred years ago. I left this place only a hundred years ago, so how did it become your hidden realm? Not only that—you occupied my wooden house and even turned the place with the richest spiritual energy into a vegetable patch. Do you know what lies a hundred yards beneath this field?”
Everyone fell silent, stunned by his question. From his words, it was clear that he was a cultivator known by the Daoist title Profound Void Master. This hidden realm had originally been the Profound Void Abode, and it had been his cultivation ground as far back as five hundred years ago.
Good heavens! Profound Void Master had cultivated for five hundred years. What realm must he have reached by now? Bai Xiaoyue wondered inwardly. We have trespassed into his forbidden ground. If he decides to make trouble for us, I’m afraid none of us will escape alive. What… what are we supposed to do?
While Bai Xiaoyue was pondering how to respond, and Yan Chixia, She Meier, and Songta were all at a loss, Little Bunny Meng suddenly displayed remarkable quick-wittedness. She hurried to Profound Void Master, seized his powerful, sinewy hand with both of her delicate little hands, and said with tears filling her eyes:
“Old sir, why have you only just appeared? I’ve missed you terribly!”
“Oh?” Profound Void Master looked at the tears glistening in Little Bunny Meng’s large, dark, sparkling eyes and asked in bewilderment, “Little girl, who are you? Have we met before?”
“No, we haven’t!” Little Bunny Meng answered crisply. “But, old sir, I have often heard my master, Perfected Qingxu, and Senior Immortal of the Nine Heavens mention your honored title…”
Little Bunny Meng invoked Perfected Qingxu and the Immortal of the Nine Heavens before Profound Void Master in order to make it clear that although the five of them were juniors with modest cultivation and limited skill, they had extremely powerful backers. Profound Void Master would do well not to act rashly against them.
Unexpectedly, before Little Bunny Meng could finish speaking, Profound Void Master gave a disdainful cold snort.
“Perfected Qingxu? The Immortal of the Nine Heavens? One is merely a fledgling in the early stage of Loose Immortality, and the other is just a young girl in the late stage of Loose Immortality. How could they possibly be mentioned in the same breath as me? In the world today, only those two old rivals, Azure Sky and Jade Firmament, who have reached the realm of Great Golden Immortals, might possibly be able to contend with me…”
