Chapter 41: Get Out!
"Snap!"
Fang Qingyun fixed Zhang Jinyi with a cold gaze and swung his arm fiercely; the long blade came cleaving down.
Two throwing knives were knocked aside.
He glanced at Zhao Junhong and asked, "Can you still fight?"
"I can!" Zhao Junhong answered without hesitation, glaring at Zhou Yi. "This one’s mine!"
Fang Qingyun then turned to the young girl. "Little darling, will you fight for me, or—"
"Get lost!"
The girl cut him off sharply, shot him a glare laced with dark lines of irritation, and turned away without another word.
If she could, she would have sliced him down with a single stroke.
But she simply wasn't his match.
"Tch!"
Fang Qingyun curled his lip, then fixed Luo Yuxin and Zhang Jinyi with a sinister grin. "Even from far away, I could hear you shouting just now. I didn't catch everything, but there was one thing I did hear.
'You don't need to explain yourself to anyone. If I find you interesting, I want to fight you. Whether you accept or not, you have to accept it!'
Those words work just as well for me!"
A monstrous roar echoed out—Xiao Hei lunged ferociously at Luo Yuxin.
Gunfire rattled—countless bullets tore through the air toward Xiao Hei.
Meanwhile, Fang Qingyun, bloodstained blade in hand, strode toward Zhang Jinyi, who glared back in fury.
...
At that moment, countless eyes across the Aoki District were glued to the surveillance feeds, watching Fang Qingyun and his group.
Even Bai Ying watched.
So did the aristocrats.
With the college entrance examination drawing to a close, they didn't mind taking precious time to witness the outcome.
At last, these young prodigies had crossed paths.
And, as expected, a clash had erupted.
What would the result be?
In silence, many repeated a name in their hearts: Fang Qingyun.
Aristocratic scions like Luo Yuxin and Murong, so highly anticipated, or dark horses like Zhao Junhong, all seemed to pale before him.
...
A monstrous roar thundered.
Under a hail of bullets, Xiao Hei bellowed mightily.
Ignoring the barrage, he charged at Luo Yuxin, bringing his massive paw down in a crushing blow.
"How can this be?"
Luo Yuxin's expression shifted.
Ordinary half-demon, half-fiend creatures would have perished under such an assault; even pure-blooded fiends would have been wounded.
But this beast’s defenses were formidable.
So many bullets struck its scales, yet only showers of sparks erupted.
A dangerous glint flashed in Luo Yuxin's eyes. He hefted his heavy machine gun and brought it crashing down on Xiao Hei.
A heavy machine gun was not just a weapon for shooting!
Bang!
With a deafening crash, Xiao Hei was knocked back several meters, while Luo Yuxin was sent flying, slamming hard into the ground.
Another monstrous roar.
...
After a brief pause, Xiao Hei charged at Luo Yuxin again.
Luo Yuxin's complexion had turned ashen.
He had always been called a monster, but now he faced a true monster.
Across the battlefield, Fang Qingyun fought even more savagely.
He ignored all defense, hacking away with his great blade.
With sweeping, powerful strokes, he forced Zhang Jinyi into a furious, desperate defense.
Zhang Jinyi was an agile fighter, yet Fang Qingyun was no slower.
That tremendous strength, combined with startling speed, left Zhang Jinyi barely clinging to life.
He had thought of trading blow for blow, even life for life.
But at the final moment, he gave up.
Because of Fang Qingyun’s expression.
No matter how ferocious his attacks, Fang Qingyun simply did not care.
It was as if he didn’t mind dying, so long as he could strike you once.
This blade belonged to Murong—Zhang Jinyi knew just how lethal it was.
One slash could truly mean death.
"Where did this lunatic come from? And what’s his connection to Murong?"
Zhang Jinyi’s thoughts spun in chaos.
...
"Ahahaha!"
Zhao Junhong laughed, hacking again and again at Zhou Yi, taunting, "Weren’t you cocky just now? Try being cocky now, go on!"
Zhou Yi’s face darkened. "Let me tell you—"
"Shut up! If you’re not being cocky, don’t say another word!"
Zhao Junhong cut him off without mercy.
Damn it!
As a noble, Zhou Yi knew he shouldn't curse, but he could barely hold back.
People called him devious, but he’d argue that being devious was far better than being this wretch before him.
This guy could drive anyone mad.
"How dare you get distracted while fighting me? Prepare to die!"
Suddenly, Zhao Junhong’s voice sounded in his ear, followed by a vicious attack.
"Impossible!"
Zhou Yi drew his sword to block in horror.
Bang!
With a muffled thud, Zhou Yi was forced to one knee.
"Out of my way!"
Zhao Junhong snapped, kicking Zhou Yi flying.
But immediately, Zhao Junhong’s aura began to plummet.
"Hm?"
Fang Qingyun glanced at him, frowning slightly.
He quickly opened his system.

Bang!
With his speed suddenly increased, Fang Qingyun exploded into motion, landing a brutal kick to Zhang Jinyi’s stomach, sending him flying and embedding him in a tree.
Zhang Jinyi coughed up blood, eyes wide. "You—what happened to you?"
Fang Qingyun strode over to Zhao Junhong. As he passed Murong, he shot her a warning look.
Murong frowned, watching Fang Qingyun closely.
He hadn’t used his full strength just now?
Had he been toying with Zhang Jinyi all along?
Only when his comrade was in trouble did he unleash himself, instantly defeating Zhang Jinyi.
Zhang Jinyi’s strength was at the very limit of a quasi-martial artist.
Even Murong, without her innate gifts, would not dare claim a certain victory over him.
Only Luo Yuxin, with his prodigious natural strength, could reliably defeat him.
But this Fang Qingyun—who was he?
He had defeated Zhang Jinyi with such effortless ease!
Could the Aoki District harbor such a figure?
"How are you? Still holding up?" Fang Qingyun asked, striding up to Zhao Junhong.
"Took a lot out of me," Zhao Junhong replied, grinning. "Was I awesome or what? Before you got here, I was holding off three on my own!"
"Heh!" Fang Qingyun sneered. "You were 'holding off three' all right—nearly got your guts kicked out."
"Get lost!"
Fang Qingyun turned his attention to the ongoing battle—more accurately, to Luo Yuxin, who was being chased around like a chicken by Xiao Hei.
Xiao Hei was simply too strong.
Though he was a weakened version of the Black Lion, he still possessed the might of a true fiend.
With his armored scales and powerful frame, he combined speed, strength, defense, and explosive force in one terrifying package.
Without his heavy machine gun’s full firepower, Luo Yuxin was at a clear disadvantage.
Natural strength was well and good, but Xiao Hei was even stronger.
It was no wonder—Luo Yuxin wasn’t yet a true martial artist.
Xiao Hei, on the other hand, was a real monster, over five meters tall.
A difference from birth.
Still, Luo Yuxin was formidable; it seemed Xiao Hei wouldn’t take him down easily.
Fang Qingyun shook his head, picked up a throwing knife from the ground.
With a casual flick, the knife flew straight at Luo Yuxin’s vital spot.
Luo Yuxin’s face changed as he dodged frantically.
He avoided the knife, but not Xiao Hei’s attack.
Bang!
A massive paw struck, sending Luo Yuxin tumbling across the ground until he crashed into a large tree, unable to rise.
Fang Qingyun shot Zhao Junhong a glance. "So, who’s better—you or me?"
"You were begging for mercy getting ganged up by three, and I take care of everything in a few breaths."
"Go to hell!"
Zhao Junhong’s face was streaked with dark lines as he turned to glare at Zhou Yi. Coldly, he said, "You’re out. Get lost."
